Hello everyone,

I'm sorry it has been a long time without them, however I am pleased to announce that we have got command blocks working once again.

Due to some changes in how command blocks are handled between Minecraft 1.8 and 1.9, the process of entering commands into command blocks has changed significantly, and sadly I believe that it is a lot more painful to do so in 1.9 at the current time.

Minecraft 1.9 handles the command block GUI (user interface) on client side, in comarison to in 1.8 when it was handled sever-side. This means that we are now unable to check what commands are entered into command blocks for our safety checks (to prevent damage), making the GUI unusable.

Sadly, this means we've had to resort to another option in order to enter commands into command blocks: a command. Upon placing a command block, you are instructed to use the command /setcommand . I understand that this may be annoying, in that you can't see what is currently in the command block, and can't modify existing commands, however it was the best way the developer Empire92 came across for doing so, and we decided we'd re-add command blocks as soon as possible due to it being one of the features we feel made our server unique.

We understand there are limits to the length of commands that can be entered into Minecraft, so we have another temporary solution for anyone wishing to use longer commands in command blocks. By entering a /setcommand  command into the web interface at https://cmdly.inventivetalent.org/ , you are able to enter commands longer than the default Minecraft limit, and then you will be given a shorter command, which you can type (or paste) into Minecraft when looking at the command block to set its contents. Just to make it clear, you enter /setcommand {command for command block} in the web interface, and then use /cmdly {code} in chat to enter it into a command block.

Once again, happy creating and playing smiley

Not sure what you mean, It works perfectly fine, except for some minor issues with long commands.

Hello,

Sorry about the issue regarding permission for that command - I'll take a look into it once the server is back online.
