Hello everyone,

I am writing this post to inform everyone of some issues we're having with our donation store.

On the 1st May, we launched a 50% off sale on the store to celebrate our 2nd Birthday. However, we were notified by @Lx35z that upon entering a username to the donation store, an error message was returned saying:

Please use a premium Minecraft account to access this market.

I checked this out and discovered it happening across all the stores they hosted, so I disabled this authentication as I assumed it would be down to the API rate limits of Mojang having been met & their IP being blocked, or them using a depreciated (outdated) API.

However, I discovered a bunch more issues today. Looking at the store, the prices displayed as discounted in the list view, however when in the basket, they appear at full price, and this full price is then carried over to PayPal, meaning the item isn't discounted. Looking online, a lot of other users have had the same issues, and some believe that the provider may be shutting down.

Based on everything above, I have decided that we will no longer be using MinecraftMarket to handle any future payments, unless they can somehow make a massive improvement in the next day or two, which I highly doubt considering some support requests from a few months back are still not replied to. Whilst BuyCraft remains an option, I dislike their pricing for what they offer, especially as we'd have to pay more than we receive to get custom themes enabled.

I am looking into building our own system for handling payments, meaning if there are any issues, it is down to us to fix them. This most likely will be the system that we use, which should go in place in the next few weeks.

In the mean time, please ask me if you want to get discounted prices, I will happily manually sort any donations whilst issues persist.
